I am writing to express Commerce Lexington Inc.’s support for the application of Dot Horse Project, LLC, to secure, create and operate the .horse top-level domain (TLD). The horse industry is an integral part of our local and regional economy, and the Bluegrass Region is known worldwide as The Horse Capital of the World.
Securing this top-level domain, as conceived and proposed by the Dot Horse Project, LLC, represents the best interests of our horse industry and will bolster its ability to promote itself around the world. This initiative is extremely important to our region and state, especially with the 2010 World Equestrian Games set to be hosted right in our backyard next year.
